At FIA our core EAP services are divided into individual and organizational services.
Individual Services:
- 24-hour helpline
- Assessment of the problem or need for EAP use
- Short-term problem solving, brief counselling, treatment planning, case management and aftercare/follow-up for a variety of life concerns
- Referral to community or benefit providers for mental health or specialty services
- Education and information for self-help and work-life resources via a secure customized online platform
Organizational Services:
- Crisis Management (24 hours crisis line; traumatic and critical incident services; violence prevention and response; disaster preparedness management)
- Management/Supervisory consultation, education and training (Assistance in how to refer employees to the EAP and Guidance on appropriately supporting employees with personal or work issues)
- Assistance with employees with return-to-work and work accommodation needs (e.g., disability, workers’ compensation)
- Guidance on employee work performance review, disciplinary issues, drug testing results and conducting psychological measurements.
- Employee educational services and programmes, health and wellness presentations
- Organizational change management (e.g., layoffs, reorganization, downsizing, mergers)
- Organizational development (e.g., leadership, work culture, employee engagement, inter-group or work team conflicts)
- Specialty and auxiliary services (e.g., work-life, wellness fairs, drugfree workplace, outplacement support, job relocation, expat support, disability management, disease management, pre-retirement, internal career planning etc.)
